for the hope of Spring...

We’ve officially reached the spring season on our calendars.

Just this morning as I drove home from a grocery pick up I had this bursting sense of hope as I noticed the small buds on trees, flowers beginning to bloom, blue sky bursting forth from a covering of clouds.

There’s something about the first evidence of spring that inspires hopefulness after the long and cold and lifeless season of winter.

It feels so appropriate that we also celebrate the resurrection of Jesus in the Spring season. Life from death, hope from despair.

We have hope because of the resurrection of Jesus. We can live knowing His resurrection power is dwelling within us and that He is more than able to bring life from what feels dead in our own lives.

And the tangible evidence of spring, the life springing forth from dead branches and blooming flowers and bird’s nests, can serve as reminders that we have hope in the one who brings new life.

This month our mini-retreat will help us look for the hope in Spring and the evidence of God bringing new life in and around us.

As a reminder, mini-retreats are for paid subscribers, but you can upgrade your subscription below if you’re interested! I’m also linking to all previous retreat guides in case you missed one or if another topic speaks more to where you are now and what you need.

And may you encounter the God who loves you as you make space in your schedule and in your soul.
